Kruzy formed as a duo in 1997 performing sparse melodic songs on
violin and acoustic guitar.

Kruzy started as a jam, from which songs were formed. These songs
provided Kruzy with its first set to be performed live. During 1998 Kruzy played acoustic instrumental gigs around Melbourne.

1999 saw Kruzy eyeing a wider vision and enhancing their sound. The results were the inclusion of analogue synthesizers and Kristy and
Steven's first go at scoring the music for a short film for international
award-winning filmmaker Bernie Clifford.

The start of 2000 also saw Kristy and Steven enter Soundpark Recording Studio. Their first EP "Kruze Kontrol" was completed in 13 hours, and Kruzy immediately
began supporting it with gigs including the Pako Festival in Geelong.

By mid-2001 Kruzy started recording their second EP "New Space",
which was completed over the next 6 months at Soundpark Studios. Kristy and
Steven played all of the instruments themselves on the recording, except for
bass, which was played, by Richard Anderson and flute played by Wendy Reed.

Richard was impressed with Kruzy's sound and within a couple of
months became a willing member of the band. He definitely compliments their
style and has definitely filled the void once felt.

The drum stool has been capably occupied for gigs at the end of 2001
and most of 2002, enabling the songs from 'Kruze Kontrol', 'New Space' and their latest recoding Mended strife to be confidently showcased publicly.

During 2002 Kruzy started recording their debut full-length album titled Mended strife it took until April 2003 for this to finish. Whilst spending most of their spare time at Soundpark Studios Kruzy also continued to play live around Melbourne until the end of 2002.

Their CD launch at Revolver on the 15th of May 2003 will be their first gig for 2003 and their only for a while as a Kruzy baby is expected. Joining them at this gig is Disaster Plan and Diving Bell in support.
